Free cookery workshops for children

On 17/10

Looking for an interesting idea for a Saturday out with your child? Come to the Auchan Hetmańska Shopping Centre for free cookery workshops as part of the ‘Cook whatever you like!’ series. It’s a family-friendly activity combining learning, fun and discovering new flavours together.

During the sessions, children will learn about a variety of ingredients, pick up the basics of cooking and prepare their own dishes under the guidance of an instructor.

Dates of the free workshops – the third Saturday of the month

Cooking Zone – cookery workshops for children

During the sessions, children will prepare dishes step by step, learn about hygiene and the safe use of simple kitchen tools, and finally decorate and taste their own dishes.

Theme of the upcoming workshop on 17 October 2026: colourful sushi

During the next session, children will prepare colourful sushi rolls and learn the basics of combining flavours and arranging ingredients attractively.

Duration: approximately 55–60 minutes
Start times: 11.30 | 13.15 | 15.00 | 16.45

The workshop programme includes

  • culinary facts and discovering new products,
  • preparing dishes together step by step,
  • learning how to use simple kitchen tools,
  • decorating and tasting the dishes prepared,
  • commemorative certificates for participants.

Workshop registration

To ensure participants’ comfort and safety, places are limited. Advance registration is required by emailing: zapisy.hetmanska@op.pl

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please state your preferred workshop time and the number of places you wish to book in your email.

Confirmation of your registration and place reservation will be sent in a reply from the organiser.

Those who have registered in advance via Facebook will be asked to confirm their attendance no later than one week before the workshop. Failure to confirm will be treated as a cancellation, and any vacated places will be made available to other interested parties.

A week before the event, if any places become available, supplementary registration will open. We will post information about available places on our Facebook page, so we encourage you to follow it.

This change is intended to streamline the organisation of the workshops and enable as many children as possible to take part. During the first meeting in September, some of the reserved places remained unused due to the absence of registered participants. We are therefore introducing an email booking confirmation system, which will allow us to make any available places accessible to other interested parties on an ongoing basis

Live cooking and free tasting

After the workshops, we invite children and adults to the Taste Zone for an interactive live cooking demonstration combined with a tasting session. The instructor will prepare dishes in front of the audience, demonstrate interesting culinary techniques and share practical tips.

Participation in the demonstrations is free of charge and does not require prior registration.

Organisational information

Participation in the event is free of charge. Places on the workshops are limited, and all products, accessories and tools are provided by the organiser. The workshops are designed for children.
